Occupation: Owner of Blue Lotis; A dojo where Vera seeks to not only help people various martial arts techniques but also to help them become one with their inner spirit in order to get beyond the obstacles which they themselves create. She hopes that through training and meditation her students will achieve two things, a closer connection to themselves and those around them.
Age: Age is nothing but a number through which people try to label others as mature or not. The fortune cookie says "don't be so nosey."
Appearance: Aside from the fact that this sultry young woman is 5'8", her mesmerizing green eyes and long chocolate locks [Length: just about touching her buttock] make Vera impossible not to notice in a crowd. If she's at the dojo then her long hair is always braided, but anywhere else and you'll see the wind playing with her hair tresses. Aside from that, there's also Vera's plump lips that many swear are filled with collagen, but those people would be wrong in assuming such a thing. The young angel has high cheek bones that help accentuate her face along with arched eyebrows that intensify her deadly stare. Speaking of stares, Vera has gorgeous emerald eyes that have a hint of yellow in them; making them almost cat-like in nature.
V's posture is near perfect and as a result she is never found with her head held down. She'll meet anyone's gaze and won't back down from a staring competition. Her skin is soft and olive in color; you would never think that it was stained by blood so many times throughout her life. The young woman's nails are kept neat but not very long since she does many things with hands. The most she'll do to them is get them french tipped and that's about it. As for other forms of make up, Kat rarely finds herself requiring assistance from such things but will use very natural shades of makeup from time to time.
Markings: Vera has claw marks on her right shoulder and the face of a tiger growling on her lower back. On the back of her left wrist she has a very small tattoo of a lotus and another small tattoo on her right hip of a cross.
Attire: This guardian angel typical enjoys wearing saris while in her home with her bonsai trees or at the dojo during meditation sessions. If she needs to go food shopping or anything along those lines, then V will just throw on a pair of jeans or skirt and a tasteful top.
Reputation: Amongst her students, V is seen as both graceful and strong. Many people compare the young woman to the sea for her movements are fluid and attitude generally peaceful. However, the sea can be deadly and so can Vera's temper-- something rarely seen. She can be strict at times with her students but tries to understand what they're going through. As a guardian angel, there are many times that she finds she must neglect her duties at the dojo but tries her best to always be there for those that require her help. Amongst her fellow angels she is seen as one of the best. Well, that was until recently when she lost someone to a demon. Some of the angels still believe in Vera's abilities while others are starting to doubt her.
Well-Known Facts:
She is an expert at the art of bonsai which is why both her dojo and home displays many of the miniature trees.
V has a sense of humor-- ex: enjoys reading fortune cookies and making random jokes about them. She also plays around with the expression "Ahh, grasshopper.."
While Vera is meditating, she should never be deserved or else you'll get one of her stares that will send chills up and down your spine.
She absolutely detests zoos and cages.
Loves seafood; especially sushi.
Collects antiques and would open an antique shop IF she actually had the time.
Takes in any animal that is hurt. This is how she became friends with a black & white little kitten that she swear has ADD. The poor thing was abandoned by its mother, so now V takes care of it. It's not uncommon for the kitten to be watching over its mistress at the dojo or causing V to bite her tongue when she catches it pawing at one of her plants.
Little-Known Facts:
V owns an X-box and actually uses it.
She has never had icecream.
Vera loves watching cartoons.
She recently lost a little boy she was supposed to be guarding from demons.. This has left her in a somewhat fragile mental state and almost has her questioning certain things in her life like "does good really triumph over evil?" and "why must children be allowed to suffer at the hands of demons?"
Speculation:
Some angels think that being Vera lost someone she was supposed to be protecting, she might be slipping.
The demons feel that with her fragile state she may be capable of being brought over to their side or at the very least become a fallen angel. Either way, one less goody two shoes in the world is a huge + to the baddies.
Being that she was so close to the little boy she had been guarding, some humans wonder if perhaps the child was her son or some relative.
Now everyone is curious about the new guy in her life. He's her new assignment but no one knows that expect Vera, so there's talk about her being in some sort of relationship with him.
